In recognition of the public debut of Grand Central Madison (GCM), ALNNJ will host an in-person tour led by Peter Campanella, AIA of AECOM to celebrate the project’s architectural accomplishments in achieving a new underground commuter rail terminal for the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR). We will learn about the project’s history and examine what it takes to deliver well-designed mega projects that span multiple years, economies, and leaders.

The tour will meet at 9:45 am at the clock in the center of the
Main hall at Grand Central Terminal (89 E 42nd Street, New York, NY 10017).
The tour will start at 10am and last approximately two hours. This will be a walking tour- participants should wear comfortable shoes and need to arrive on time.
